Benidorm is so notorious that they made a sitcom about it. Filthy and funny - Sticky Vicky is a real act... go figure.
Egypt didn't smell when I went there. Cuba did, but we were downwind of a refinery. Many, many miles downwind, but there was a definite tang when it was in the right direction.
