If they can't find the cause then I wouldn't worry too much. I spent the night in the hospital a few months ago. Felt like my lungs were filled with razor blades - couldn't breathe more than a teaspoon of air at a time.
All tests negative - last I heard of it. I'm not a doc but when something happens but they can't find it I just figure whatever caused it is gone. In your case, who knows - could have been one of those soft clots that float around for years before getting wedged in and causing a problem. It was probably over when you left the hospital. Just to be on the safe side, however, it may not be a bad idea and might make you feel safer to carry around a nitro tab or two as a precaution.
