The Allied States of Ahdarastan
"Hey man, that's cool."

UN Category: Democratic Socialists
Civil Rights: Excellent
Economy: Developing
Political Freedoms: Below Average
Location: The North Pacific

Regional Influence: Minnow

The Allied States of Ahdarastan is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its burgeoning cephelopod population. Its hard-nosed population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Social Welfare, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 28%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is dominated by the Trout Farming industry.

Crime is relatively low. Ahdarastan's national animal is the cephelopod, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the nev.

This game doesn't do much does it? You just log on and click a button or two every day and get a minor update on your bizzar little country discription. Not much of a government simulator.

You can get up to two issues a day to deal with, but they take 24 hours to implement.

You can join the UN and vote there. Once you get strong enough, you can have more power and influence.

Power builds pretty quickly, so I think it fairly simulates world politics because it takes time for things to develop and you have to hope you are making the right decisions in the mean time.

Throw your hat in the ring and have a go!

The Dictatorship of Plazbot
"Greed is good"

UN Category: Capitalist Paradise
Civil Rights:Some
Economy:Thriving
Political Freedoms:Some
Location: The East Pacific

Regional Influence: Minnow

The Dictatorship of Plazbot is a tiny, economically powerful nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The minute government, or what there is of one, concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Commerce and Defence are on the agenda. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Arms Manufacturing, and Information Technology industries.

Crime is a serious problem. Plazbot's national animal is the dodo, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the dropny.

The Holy Empire of Daniaca
"For the Good of Our Souls and The Glory of The Empire"

UN Category: Psychotic Dictatorship
Civil Rights:
Unheard Of Economy:
Fair Political Freedoms:
Rare

Location: Cellarious Regional Influence: Minnow

The Holy Empire of Daniaca is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic government is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Religion & Spirituality and Defence are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 36%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Crime is moderate. Daniaca's national animal is the the dog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the danar.

I don't get this game. The first issue that was presented to me was if I wanted to make voting compulsory. I figured I'd try it and see what happened. That was three days ago. It should have been adopted by now, but in Glattistan's summary, it says voting is voluntary. How long does it take for changes to show up?

Edit: I see my ranking in Civil Rights/Economy/Political Freedom has changed somewhat over the last few days, so some changes are taking place.

I got this telegram today:

The time has come for you to decide which side you want to be on. You could join Lorien and go down in Nation States history as a hero or help ruin the game for 1,000+ people. It is your choice but remember there is no mid way point this war will effect you in one way or another.

Lorien should know that I'm not too concerned about a state which uses effect when it means affect. Also, I am intensely loyal to Cellarious.

I've noticed over the last few days that things are changing quickly for me.

I also upped my issues to 2 a day.

And joined the UN.

You'll see Penelopes ranks #1 in the UN rankings for our region today. Guess we're the most liberal!

Poorly written choices today so I dismissed it. Either ban cloning or subsidize it? That sort of thinking is what gets you crazed religious/anti-religious nuts and killer budget deficits. *grumble* Statists left and right really burn my muffins.
