I'm going to give that link to my son and hubby. They're both made on games like Civilization and Stronghold. Have you heard of them?

btw...I think your idea is a good one Ibram. I'll be interested to see how it all goes. If I decide to start a country it'll probably end up in anarchy though. I've no idea how to play these types of games.

Just start one and do what the game says, its very very very very simple. They give you situations, and you pick which option is most like your idea of an ideal state.

OK...I'll start one and see how I go, but if it goes to shit, I'm blaming the conservatives!

The Most Serene Republic of Aliantha is a tiny, devout nation, notable for its burgeoning frog population. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government concentrates mainly on Religion & Spirituality, although Healthcare and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 19%. A large private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Door-to-door Insurance Sales and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Crime is a problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Aliantha's national animal is the frog and its currency is the berry.

The Republic of Pipedreams2 is a tiny, pleasant nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The tiny government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5%. A large private sector is led by the Retail industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Basket Weaving.

Crime is a serious problem. Pipedreams2's national animal is the weasel and its currency is the pal bubble gum.

The large, corrupt, liberal government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Religion & Spirituality, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 18%. A small but healthy private sector is led by the Basket Weaving industry, followed by Pizza Delivery and Uranium Mining.

Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Penelopes's national animal is the dove and its currency is the mac.
