Ferrofluid is a very interesting material originally developed by NASA it has now found itself been used for a whole range of devices including dampers for controlling and stabilizing large building that move around in the wind.

It's $25 for a bottle of Ferrofluid.Image Now that would be a unique gift.

Oops, forgot the warning.

Though not inherently toxic, Ferrofluid is NOT a kids toy -- it stains skin, clothing and tabletops quite readily.
