Hey Dudes

I was wondering if anyone would know of a program (and know where to find it) that lets you input a telephone number and when completed, it will tell you who it belongs to, can anyone offer me any information on where to find a program, apparantly its called Reverse Number lookup

I don't know of a program per se...if you google it, you will find plenty of sites that have this service.

He's in Australia though. I use them every day and know a ton of 'em...but I don't know how plentiful they are down under.

(I don't use infospace a lot...it's not as good as some of the other ones, IMO.)

Nope...not yet. From what I understand, a directory for cell phone numbers is supposed to be coming out later this year.

I like http://www.reversephonedirectory.com

Searches multple sites including anywho and infospace.

Verizon has one too, off their main page.

We use it at work for suicide calls.

note: www.reversedirectory.com is a porn site. (associated with whitehouse.com)

Reverse number lookup is done because it is profitable. These are expensive tools created for telemarketeers. Telemarketeers, as I last understood, are not interested in calling cell phones - at least not yet.

When telemarketing to cell phones becomes practical, then money will make a reverse phone directory. A good news / bad news answer.

ugh. Telemarketing to cell phones would suck.

I would have recommended superpages.com
