Why wont my laptop download pictures from my phone?

My laptop has learned a new trick, now it won't download pix from my smart phone. I'm at wits end with this thing. Now I'm waiting for a email from microsoft so i can get into my system so i can ask why this thing is so fucked up. If any body knows what I'm doing wrong please tell me how to fix it. all I want to do is post pix on the cellar.

Keryx just fixed it I still don't know what she did different she did the same thing thing I was doing for over an hour.
She said sometimes it takes more than once.
