Pop-Ups

I've been getting an increased number of sites using these video pop-ups that cover part of the screen and doesn't seem to have a way to kill them. Anybody know how to kill these fuckers?

Task Manager?

Maybe, I'll have to try that, but it takes time to do that. I'd like to find a way to head them off at the pass.

If you have; or, download the Google toolbar, it has a popup blocker which will also let you allow popups for sites of your choosing.

From what I can find on the web, these pop ups/pop unders are operating in JAVA. But when I killed JAVA I couldn't see any videos in the Cellar. I really don't want to block all the ads as that's how sites make money, and when they don't cover content or can be clicked away, they don't bother me much.
But these bastards cover content and can't be clicked away.

The Microsoft Edge browser in WIN10 comes with a popup blocker that is easily turned on/off in Settings. Every time it blocks a popup, options appear at the bottom of the page to allow the popup(s) from the site that one time; or, all the time. It's a convenient feature.

In Internet Explorer mode, I use the Google Toolbar's popup blocker (mentioned above) which I had downloaded for IE.

Neither blocks everything that might appear and cover page content. Sometimes refreshing the page restores the content without the popup coming back ... sometimes not. I haven't seen a definitive solution.

I took it all out. That may have been my mistake. I have Malwarebytes Anti-exploit killing VB scripting.

Whatever you do Bruce as long as I can get your pictures again . Blow the fucker up and start over. All I have is a lowly phone. This sadly/gladly is my internet experience. So tighten the fuck up and get them pictures so anybody can see them. It is on your end. Whew that felt good. I need a glass of hot milk. My phone is limited as what I know how to operate on this thing. I am sure it will do many wonderful things that I have no clue about. I'm a Libra. Its not my fault.

If you're a Libra, it's half your fault.

Did you fix the problem? My PC was having a similar issue and I used malwarebytes to fix it. The program scanned and removed all the viruses - the OS was infected with like dozens of them.

No, I have Malwarebytes Plus and Malwarebytes anti-exploit. No viruses.
