Google Chrome Continues To Blow Donkeys

I don't usually sign into chrome, but I did last night. All of a sudden my bookmarks bar reverted to one that was about a year old, along with my password collection. Oh. OK, I'll just sign out and things will be back to the way they were (memories, misty water colored...)

NOT.

I closed google and reopened it thinking that it would go back to usual (I was thinking that maybe it was like a .db file or a .ini file that would renew itself when re-launched.

NOPE.

Chrome keeps a one session back up file that gets over-written the moment you close Chrome.

So as far as I can tell there is no way for me to recover lost passwords and bookmarks from Chrome.

suspect that the last time I synced must have been a year ago as refelcted by the current bookmark line-up.

I went to users/user/appdata/whateverthefuck/google and renamed it to google2, then made a new folder called google, right clicked-> properties->restore previous verisons and now I've got my bookmarks and everything back only a week old. Very few changes since then.

Windows 7 -- 1
Chrome -- 0

When I logged into Chrome I got all of Keryx's bookmarks as well as my own. Now I like it because now I have her recipes and other things we book marked on the old computer.
