Symbol Input Problem

Aliantha • Aug 10, 2014 2:05 am
I am firing up an old computer for Max to use, but I've found that somehow the numbers on the top row (not the numeric keypad) don't produce the right symbols. For example, when I press shift 2 I end up with this ", which is not what I want. I have to click shift ' to get @. There must be a quick fix for this. Someone must know the answer.

TIA.

It's set to UK.

You say old, I'll assume XP.

Open Control Panel then Regional and Language Options. Select the Language tap and choose from what you have availbale (US or AUS maybe?) in the pull down list.

I think that should do it.
