Here's the whole story: go to start menu, run, cmd, ipconfig /all, look at DNS servers for these numbers:

67.210.0.0 through 67.210.15.255
93.188.160.0 through 93.188.167.255
77.67.83.0 through 77.67.83.255
213.109.64.0 through 213.109.79.255
64.28.176.0 through 64.28.191.255

Those are the bad DNS servers. If you don't have any of these, you're okay (as far as this story is concerned).

The links Nirvana provided will do the checking for you.
But for some reason, it seems you need to start with the first link,
then use the second link from that web site.

For me, just clicking on the second link above did not work.

Lamp - what did you get when clicking on the second link directly?
If you got this image WITH A GREEN BACKGROUND you are ok ... supposedly.
Lamplighter • Jul 6, 2012 10:05 am
That's what I got when I used the first link to get to the second.

Clicking Nirvana's second link just failed to connect.

I think I'm okay, but, Ima play the odds.
Nirvana • Jul 7, 2012 1:02 am
I did it the links way and Flint's way ;)

I usually don't trust anything that says 'click here an I'll take care of everything'

But I understand why those type of things exist, and I know not everybody is an IT person.

But for those who are more tech savvy (and I assume there will be those type on an internet forum) I've posted the only thing you actually need to know about this. And it takes like 30 seconds to get your final, final answer.

Yabbut what if you discover you got a baddun? (I did your test Flint, and I'm OK, but what if, huh, what if ...?)

I posted a how-to to manually check for this if you don't trust any one's links here.
Gravdigr • Jul 9, 2012 6:46 pm
I made it. I know, cuz, here I am!!
