Suppose you're visiting Holland, and you've been to a few "cafes", you're pleasantly :rasta:, you're strolling along the beach, when crawling along all by itself ...

isn't that littering?

Those are amazing. Weren't they an image of the day earlier in the year?

Incredible!

More reason to go to Holland. You know, the Van Gogh museum and stuff. ;)

Shouldn't take more than a couple of cans of gray spraypaint ...

(I think it's already there).

Alas not for much longer :(

They're rolling out new prohibitions on tourists in pot cafes. Starting with a few cities and then rolling it out nationwide.

Locals will still be able to buy smoke, but tourists won't.

I posted that somewhere earlier this year. Still cool to watch.

What a crock! :(

There's a part of Europe that is willing to lose big tourism money to avoid a little annoyance?

Things must not be bad enough yet. Euro forever!

That was one of the reasons for going when I did.

The Netherlands moving slightly to the right still leaves them far to the left of most of the world (even Europe). Sad for the rest of us re drug tourism. But people should be able to determine what happens in their own cities.

/\ That's me being all responsible and adult. /\
What I really want to say is OH NOOOOOOOOOES!
I always dreamed I could meet up with transatlantic Dwellars on an Amsterdam stopover.

Noticed during holiday shopping research:

Wind Walker

Mini Strandbeest

The 8-inch model is as complex as its forebear, with 120 parts that snap together to form 12 jointed legs, a spinelike crankshaft, and a wind turbine. Ours took about 90 minutes to assemble and walked across most flat surfaces, even packed beach sand and slight inclines. The ingenious movement is hypnotic, but unlike some of the full-size beasts, which use a system of pumps and soda bottles to store energy, the Mini stops when the wind does.

We don't need no stinkin' wind.
