Polar Bears Have Irish Roots

I wonder how often they have to touch up. :D

Scientists have evidence that polar bears are descended from an extinct species of Irish brown bear.

Now how freaking cute are Polar Bears? And to know they growl in that cute Irish accent...now I REALLY want one.

(aside: one of our student workers at my old job was a girl from Cork. I said something once about her being so cute and she said...in that delightful lilt "I'm not cute. Everyone says I'm cute, it's just 'cause I'm Irish." I told her, well, sorry, but yes, you are adorable. She's a fb friend, great young lady.)

eta: I don't know the differences between accent and brogue and lilt, etc. Please correct me if you know. :)

I'll believe it to be true when I see a ginger one.

That means that they're invasive species and we don't need to try to protect them.

Give Ireland back to the Irish
Give Lapland back to the Laps
Give Polar Bears back to Poland
and Yoko back to the Japs

I don't think you'll get the chance. That whole blonde thing comes from a bottle.

Lies! They're all from Kenya! and they're probably secret Muslims, too.
