AntiVirus questions again

Homesquirell's BloatBarge, I mean laptop arrived and I am in the process of removing everything and reinstalling only what she needs.

I was going to put AVG Free on it and spybot, but I think all the pop-up dialogue boxes asking about permissions will just throw her. Would Malwarebytes be redundant?

What security would you recommend?

Norton 360 _It quietly takes care of everything.

Kaspersky _ not free anymore. It was very good.

Windows defender. I know that ones probably lame to some but I liked it. Norton doesn't though.

That reminds me of the Dilbert when they gave the boss an Etch-a-sketch. To re-boot you turn it upside down and shake it.

Which anti-virus is the BEST?

What works? What doesn't?

I hear Valtrex is pretty good.

I would install SpyBot with the TeaTimer resident... It will take care of most problems.

My antivirus choice would be Bit Defender.

Thanks Gunmaster, I have free Norton via my cable co. I keep thinking there is something, better. MORE! I will look into the spy bot. I like the TeaTimer function. I have been using noscript and it seems to work well.

The only time I'm even aware of AVG is when it's telling me sumpin's wrong.

Same with BitDefender...

It reminds me it's there when there's a problem.
