I Got a Question?

A friend of mine gave me a Kodak4100ix camera. It has a zoom lens and takes Advantix film. It works real good. The question I have is what the switch on top, with the letters C H P is used for? I have tried looking on the Internet for an answer but all I found was another camera for sale ($3.00 on eBay). If you can help I will send you a picture of my Kung Pao Kitty.

It's likely the CHP button lets you toggle between different print formats, like panoramic and regular. But I could be wrong.

Edit: Yeah. I'm sure of it. See page 9 of the user's manual.

Wrong! It's the Transformer switch: camera, helicopter, or potato(e) peeler. That's a Japanese import.

Being as high-end cameras can now email the photos as you take them, I think what you have there is the next new thing -

California Highway Patrol

In case of kidnapping, the camera can be used to contact police.
As you would expect, the kidnappers will take your phone, but might not take the camera right away.
You press that button, and the local constabulary can use the GPS chip inside it to find you.

I'm not sure what that is, but you are welcome.
