Ever been able to get a Cisco ASA to talk to a SonicWALL?

Mr. Clod says he hasn't specifically done it, but it certainly ought to be do-able. He wants to know where in the process it's erroring. He also notes that "likely the problem is with the SonicWALL."

Well if you're trying to talk to a wall ... duh!

Getting a Cisco ASA to talk to anything non-Cisco is pretty evil.

Did you patch both, as Cisco (more than others) seems to not care as much about IPSec standards as SonicWALL does? SonicWALL also has quite a few updates too.

Thanks,

You have to rebuild the kanooter valve.

All depends on the angle of the dangle.

Thanks, all. No response off the IKE. True story: another vendor we are building an HL7 interface with just sent their project specs, which stated something to the effect that if you are using SonicWALL, you do not meet their requirements. Ha!

Try one of those. Reasonable cost and it will work very well with Cisco ASA devices.
