I Sent these to My Step son ( he works for Dell selling Printers and Peripherals ) asking if he had the Part # for the fork ;)

The fork is the outbox?
dar512 • Nov 24, 2008 12:51 pm
I thought you said it worked. It looks forked up to me. :D

So. What does the fork do?
TheMercenary • Nov 24, 2008 1:04 pm
What the Fork? Fork that. Looks totally Forked up.
classicman • Nov 24, 2008 1:08 pm
makes it think the lid is closed? (just a guess)
Clodfobble • Nov 24, 2008 3:48 pm
Looks to me like the fork is just a wedge, it's the rubber band that is doing the important task of holding up the feed tray in the back.

there's supposed to be a cover there, and a spring. probably got cracked whilst unjamming accordianed paper, and the spring flew off into the ether.

Yeah, I get it. I do stuff like that too. Usually with duct tape.
jinx • Nov 24, 2008 4:50 pm
Nothing says quality repair job quite like the hot pink duct tape imo...
