Since I have so much junk running on my PC, in addition to my anti-virus software, I have noticed a performance drop.
My biggest fear is rootkits, which might not get caught by my anti-virus. So periodically, I run freeware rootkit revealer.
This time I was reading this article.
Instead of the freeware rootkit revealer, I decided to try the software from the company mentioned in the article. After giving permission to my firewall for their software to access the Internet once, it ran a scan.
It appears my PC is still clean (fortunately, the software does not make moral judgments;)).
So, who wants to network with me now:D?
