Hira Ratan Manek

This person claims that he hasn't eaten anything in 11 years! He does whats known as "Sun Gazing" or "Sun Eating" where he stares directly into the sun during "safe times" which occur a half hour after sunrise and a half hour before sunset with his bare feet touching the ground (like a plant). Hira claims this method provides him with all the nourishment he needs. Supposedly, the practice has been around for centuries.

See, if I tried that, I'd probably get hungry about lunchtime, stare at the noon sun, and then burn my retinas out.

i think if it really did work all the weight-loss companies would band together and find a way to start charging everyone to do it.

I can make the same claim.

We are supposed to believe a guy with a mullet?
queequeger • Aug 29, 2007 7:52 pm
That is no ordinary mullet, friend, that is a full blown skullet. Looks like the guy from Tales From the Crypt.
xoxoxoBruce • Aug 29, 2007 7:57 pm
There is no such thing as an "ordinary mullet". Each is a work of art unto itself.

Hahaha, good point. I can't believe I questioned their majesty, even for a moment.

Hey, check it out!
Hulk Hogan without the bandanna!

The skullet is a distraction; his true power lies in the chops.

BTW, how about that as a definition for "Southern Rock" ... it is defined by having mighty chops. No, not musical chops, on your face!

I think shawnee got it right - (psst look in the top left corner)
Shawnee123 • Aug 30, 2007 2:35 pm
It was a good concept, a bad implementation! ;)

But eating is so simultaneously gratifying and revolting! Who wants to eat what the sun puts out anyways? That's like eating sunburned skin flakes...er...sun chips?
