Get back to me when they do a transfer of Star Wars.
Happy Monkey • Feb 10, 2006 3:04 pm
Actually, I'd think Star Wars would look pretty ridiculous in this format, as would most movies. Everything would be tiny - it would look like you were playing a tabletop game, like BattleTech.

Now that could be an interesting port...

No, not Star Wars. Keep in mind the first law of technology advances.......porn first. :D

I'm having a difficult time buying this, for some reason. Creating a point of light in the air with no medium to reflect it? Is that really possible? I demand video.

If true, this is very cool. Even cooler if you could interact with it.

This is obviously still a very crude technology. Hell, just look at the size of those giant pixels...

Kinda reminds you of Pong, doesn't it?

Thanks, Barefoot. I'm not sure which I find more disturbing, though -- that this thing is uses a dangerous amount of UV radiation to produce images or that there is a blog called "The Pink Tentacle" that tracks Japanese news. :worried:

Are we back to Bruce's 'porn first' theory?Image
xoxoxoBruce • Feb 18, 2006 5:33 pm
Scoff all you want but the truth is porn built the internet to what it is today with huge infusions of cash. Of course games pushed the envelope on technology with porns money. ;)
Hypno Toad • Feb 19, 2006 3:59 am
Yeah, porn first. Interaction would be nice.
(Not that I can't get a girl in real life :P)

Well, considering some of the female characters in video games, we're getting there.
