On the road... (Jack, you ain't got nothin' on me)

Well. On Friday I follow in ol' Bill's footsteps to trace the paths of this small island. Accompanied by 1 x friend and 1 x van I will negotiate the Moors of Dart, Land of Scot and Sheep of Wales (or possibly not). There will be mass quantities of real ale imbibed and pipes smoked. There may be laughter, tears and frustration; there will most likely be a catastrophe of some kind (van brakes down in remote Highlands village with single burly hungry Scot for company); it will most certainly be fantastic.

I bid you adeiu for one month. I hope you can manage without me. I know it will be hard. Probably the hardest challenge you will ever face in your lives.

But I will be back to tell you all about it (whether you want to hear it or not).

Please now proceed to post woeful messages of distress at my impending absence and wish me well.

I will miss you all.

aww have fun! Sounds like a hell of a way to spend a month. Are you doing it properly and taking a vw van?

No it's a Leyland Daf. (Embarrassed cringe) But it's bigger than a vdub, and less cool, which in a backward retro kind of way makes it much more cool. Plus it has the I-don't-care-if-I-bash-it factor and bigger beds

i think we still have our 1.2 MP first digicam in a drawer somewhere...about as good quality as a camera phone.

Since the internet is loaded with pictures of the scenery, it would depend on the square inches of skin exposed, I suppose.

Saying that, I am not about to start posting naughty photos of myself on the internet.

No, I'm not.

And just because I've got a month off doesn't mean I'm loaded. I've just been told my company's closing down. Boo hoo yeah whatever, I don't really care, but still, I'm not rich and I can't afford a digicam.
