Work...had enough...must quit
When is it time to call it quits and find another job?
I've worked for my employer for the last three years (nearly four) and have done an excellent job (or so the recent ~8% raise and praise indicates). I work in I.S. I'm very good at what I do. I am very professional and co-workers seem to like me. I've been pigeon-holed into my position. There is no upper mobility. I want out of I.S. and can be of better use elsewhere. I'm an Engineer with a fair amount of automation and controls experience and can do a lot of good in a plant that relies heavily on controls and automation. Upper Management is well aware of it. I am frustrated. So what now? Quit? (and make the wife work?) Have a job waiting and rattle some cages? Just keep working? |
