				May 2, 2009: 1 HP Luxury Vehicle

Join the "Green" revolution now, and when we run out of gas you'll be ahead of the curve with this 1 horsepower luxury vehicle. OK, it is a luxury vehicle, and it is 1 horsepower, but it's designed for training race horses. Quote:

Looks like Batman meets Jane Austen to me. I guess its not really a one-horsepower vehicle, if it does 60mph. I think the weirdest thing is that we are using this amazing cutting edge technology to fine tune a form of transport that is effectively obsolete.

I had thought I remembered reading somewhere that the average horsepower of a horse was actually much more than one horsepower--it turns out I was wrong, but the Wiki article on horsepower is nonetheless really interesting.

Horsepower is an accurate measurement for everything... except horses.

It does seem to be a bit on the tall side for horses doesn't it?
