be the devil

Jesus went on a walkabout and the devil was his spirit guide - showing him why he had to do what he had to do. Be the devil - what is the devil? The devil is what people are afraid of. What are people afraid of? The devil is a gateway of perception between you and what makes you uncomfortable - and what makes you uncomfortable is growth . What makes you uncomfortable is uncharted terrirory. Be the devil. What is the devil?

Wouldn't the devil, being the devil, show Jesus the OPPOSITE of what he needed to do?

The devil is not only something people are afraid of, the devil IS fear.

@marichiko: Jesus had to experience temptation in order to understand "why he had to do what he had to do" - I didn't mean he showed him literally what to do, I meant he expanded his perception to the level it needed to be. That is, I think that's what I meant. Again, the chianti.

Question: What is the devil?

Answer: Scapegoat.

Rationale: "The devil made me do it."
