Opened tonight and first thought it was a LP album, because of size. But it was a LOL calender. Best, well only, laugh I've had today. Great! Thanks SS. Dats some weired birds. bb

Yep.

Them chickens are from the great state of Washington. To be honest, I don't know where they were grown. But their glamor shot calendar was purchased in Seattle.

Hey buster! Can we get another shot of the other side of the calendar with the little pics of all the other months? There are some crazy chickens there!

Merry Christmas!

Ok, I can't wait any longer.

Some of you may remember that I went to Venice Beach last year and got a necklace with names on a grain of rice,

The lady who sold me my necklace did not have exactly what I wanted, so I went to a different site.

I got a beaded keychain with a capsule containing 2 grains of rice. I was limited to 10 characters x 2 sides x 2 grains.

I asked them to write:

The Cellar
cellar.org
Typewriter
+Monkeys=

I asked Tony for the tag file, but I could not find any taglines that fit the format.

I'd like to see a picture of how it turned out.

Looking at the print on the calendar, I was especially impressed with the Naked-Neck Frizzle. Shazizzle, Frizzle. Got me a new user title!

I just found out something, and I don't know who specifically to thank, but I am overwhelmed by someone's kindness.

I decided not to participate in SS because funding has been so bad this year. Homeless Guy is starting a new job TODAY, and I am hoping for relief, but I didn't want to sign up for SS and have to slack off on getting someone something they would enjoy.

(This post is going to seem a bit disjointed but I am sort of shy about these kinds of things.)

Well, I took last Wednesday I took the day off. Someone knocked on my door. It was Mr Fed Ex. After I stopped hearing the pron music in my head, I signed for the package.

I opened it and inside was a digital camera and a memory card. I've been wanting a camera for a very long time, but didn't think I'd mentioned it to anyone in my family. But I called Mom and asked my ex-husband and nobody was taking credit.

A birdy told me today that it was someone or someones from the Cellar. I don't even know where to begin to thank you. What a nice, wonderful thing for someone to do. Of course I, as is my way, feel slightly embarrassed and undeserving, I'm never good when people do nice things for me. That is selfish, I know, for me not to let someone feel good about doing something nice...so I'm working on that.

You can't possibly know how happy you've made me. I've taken a few pics of my cats and need to get them onto my work computer so I can share. I also can't wait to take some pics of the wildlife on the river this spring. I will have to do a house tour, too, once I've figured it out.

So thank you thank you thank you. Your kindness reminds me of all the good in the world, and reminds me how good it feels to be the recipient of such a selfless act.

Whoever you are, I am deeply indebted. I wish I had known for sure it was a Dwellar earlier, and I hope you don't think I was being ungrateful...just afraid to say anything for fear of looking stupid.

In all the seriousness I possess, I thank you and wish you many happy returns from people paying your kindness forward.

Yes, this SS was a bit naughty regarding the limit, but I think in the circumstances they can be forgiven.

Shawnee, some people wanted to participate but did not want to receive gifts, so we had to find a few extra names to whisper in Santa's ear.

I think we're still waiting for one gift to arrive and a couple of people to post pics...... longest festive season ever,i reckon......

(like herding bloody cats this job..... )
