I tried this a couple weeks ago. It seemed fitting. I went to isolate and start a fire in the ol art studio. And I guess it was good because it didn't last too long.

yes, the lambics are quite good. More like drinking a wine cooler than a beer. I love the Kriek. it's yummy. http://www.merchantduvin.com/pages/5...ans_kriek.html

If you like sweeter tastes, the IPAs probably won't do it for you. I really like the Sweetwater IPA because it has a grapefruit flavour that is delicious, but it is also pretty bitter. If you like grapefruit though, you will probably like that one. but most IPAs don't have that citrusy flavour nearly as much.

Try some of the Belgian ales. They tend to be more sweet and winey flavoured.

Here are a few good ones...
Chimay blue label - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/215/2512

Westmalle Trappist Dubbel - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/208/674

Brasserie Des Rocs Triple Imperiale - http://www.specialtybeer.com/beer,in...imperiale.html

Belzebuth is a French ale. I like it a lot, when I'm in the right mood. It's very strong (alcohol content) and it's pretty sweet. http://www.specialtybeer.com/beer,index,belzebuth.html

Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre is a great beer with some sweetness to it. - http://www.dogfish.com/brewings/Year...re/7/index.htm

If you like bitter flavours, try some of the barleywines
Train Wreck is a great one - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/762/35477

Hog Heaven - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30/1490

Old Marley - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/696/21548

Or porters and stouts.
Mackeson's is a good stout a little more on the sweet side - http://beerblog.genx40.com/archive/2...ust/quicknote1

Cooper's is also very good - http://www.thebrewsite.com/2008/11/1...xtra-stout.php

Dogfish Head India Brown ale - http://www.dogfish.com/brewings/Year...e/12/index.htm

Terrapin India Brown Ale - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2372/36195

Those are just a few of my favorites. You might also want to try some German ales. I'm not overly fond of German beers, but my SO loves them.

Last night I had some Stella Artois. I had no idea Budweiser owned it.
