Sure he could raise all kinds of hell, but she still has him by the balls. Because she has custody of the kid, she has the ultimate weapon.

Wouldn't abusing 911 to get at her ex be a damn good reson why she shouldn't have custody? The woman clearly has some serious issues.

Actually, making false reports to police is a crime most everywhere and he doesn't have to press charges for the DA to file them. There's the cost of those six policemen, 911 operator and the medical personnel who were mobilised to deal with a potential suicide. It's likely that the DA will not be amused at the false alarm and will take her to court for at least recovery of the costs.

Check local laws for more details.

Most judges won't award custody to a man who has a serious gun fetish and is considering suicide.

I know he wasn't, but they don't.

And as far as pressing charges, it's he said/she said.

SHe says he's considering suicide, He says he wasn't. You gonna believe the guy with all the guns in the house or the distraught mother that still has the key to the house?

She really does have him by the balls. (Sorry, man.)

Sell one of the guns and get new locks. Take the high road. Your kid will thank you later.

Good luck on the smoking thing.

it's not worth it to me to worry about. all it would do is cause more problems than it's worth and i don't feel like doing any of that. she really is a good mother to my son, and that's important enough to me.

Not really, unfortunately, this is not unusual behavior for an ex-wife. It happens all the time. Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, I'm not saying all exs, I'm saying many exs. Especially ones with kids.

very true bruce. but it goes both ways too. we had an argument. things got said and done. i've slept since then and i'm pretty much over it. sure i'm still a little peeved and will be for a while, but hey, that wasn't the first argument and it won't be the last. we have to deal w/each other because of my boy, so why muss it all up with constant arguing? we do normally get along great so i'm not going to sweat it.

Be very careful in the interactions with a vindictive exwife ... she files a PFA, you lose ALL the guns, whether the allegations are founded or not.

Even in Texas.

Protection From Abuse order, sometimes called a "restraining order."

The allegations do not have to be true. She just has to file it and you are screwed.

Now she can add "the police had to go to his house because he was suicidal" to her complaint.

As plthijinx's friend and neighbor, I'm sure safe custody of his collection can be arranged.

BTW, the missing weapon is mine. Ironically, I had left it over there for safekeeping as I am having some work done at my house and I didn't want it 'walking away'. Whodathunk it would be a theiving cop. Bastards. I'm tempted to call Internal Affairs.
