I remember having Spam fritters as a child, and accepting them.
But I'm pretty sure I also ate it as a teen and hated it. I'll have to ask Mum.

Corned beef for me please, fritters, hash or simply in sandwiches with a bit of pickle (Branston of course).
And if I can't afford that I'm happy to go veggie - bean heavy casseroles and stews and soups don't leave me craving meat in any way.

SG, Spam straight out of the can is good when you've got a junk-food craving on. No cooking, no nothing, just splook it straight onto the cutting board and cut off about a quarter-inch slice. It may be better without being frizzled in a pan.

But in a non-junk-food frame of mind or stomach, a fry-up breakfast of Spam with a couple of eggs. Somehow this comes off as more good-for-you. There's your protein, lecithin, some fats, and your iron.

My grandmother used to feed me a lot of friend spam when I was a kid, all the while regaling me about how they were so glad to have at least that kind of meat during WWII.

I actually kind of like it fried, on toast with mayo.
