ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AIDE II, COVINGTON OSCHNER HOUSEKEEPING:

Full-Time

Posting# 2004-37

Monday to Friday, 4:00pm-12:30am

Hours Worked (2 week period): 80

Shifts: Evenings

Location: Northshore - (Northshore Medical Center Admin.)

Special Time Requirements: Rotating Saturdays (half day)

Required Qualifications: Able to read proficiently enough to understand work schedules, policies & procedures, labels & signs; able to work on feet 100% of time; bend, stoop & kneel between 20 - 30 minutes at a time; able to lift between 40 - 50 lbs.

Duties: Clean public, patient, clinical & admin. areas; dust mop, wet mop, vacuum floor, empty & reline & wash treash containers; high dust, low dust, spot clean walls, ledges, fixtures & furniture; strip & make beds; clean restrooms. Responsible for stripping and waxing floors, as well as shampooing carpet.

It's a shame when literacy has to be specifically mentioned as a job requirement.

Not to mention the title:

...."Environmental Services Aide" ....PC BS...

Why don't they just say:

Janitor needed. Must be semi-literate and willing to do the shit work.
