Replace "trans" with "black" and "ladies" with "whites only" and it changes the whole tenor.
I'm with Dana. Other than the discomfort people have with non-conformists, the issue is with people (men, apparently, because we're all deviates

) pretending to be trans in order to do something creepy to women. At least that's what I think has caused the legislation.
