CEO speaking, the while stomachs are rumbling and we are plundering the bread baskets

CFO speaking
main course, same as last two years, is served (with 400 attending this takes ages!)
employees' representative speaking
dessert served
enter stage left painfully incompetent comedian

Aaaargh!

(I stopped attending those events)
