I haven't asked, we diverge in automotive paths of interest, although they sometimes cross.
He was always into sports cars, is a past president of the SCCA region #2 (northeast), then their rep on the National board. I was into hot rods, customs, motorcycles, and drag racing... and a curmudgeon.
