A case of mistaken orientation

My sophomore year roommate was/is not only gay, but is now HIV+ living in S.F. and has starred in a few "bear" gay porn movies.

(as "Bill Adams" if anyone is into that scene)

I didn't know until about 3/4ths of the way through our year together, and then I just kinda ignored it.

He never hit on me or anything. No man-love for the toad-boy.

I still love the guy like a brother, deep down in my soul, like an army buddy or something, even though we don't stay in touch much. I feel that way about my freshman year roommate too. Living a whole year with someone and coming out of it not wanting to kill each other, you wind up with a special bond.
