There will be two small changes.

This gives the Republicans a megaphone, so you'll be hearing their ideas more.

And the real change is that presidential appointments, which were moving very slowly through Congress, will now halt.

The optimist in me will point out that if Congress actually tries to get real work done, this government could be very productive. Reagan was in a similar situation with a Democratic Congress back in the day, and he and Tip O'Neill were able to make various compromises and pass a lot of legislation. That's a big "if," but it's possible.

What I believe WILL change big oil will be able to shove a drill anywhere they want.
The environment will be in the back seat while big business rapes the land and the wildlife.
The only advancement in solar power will be when Boehner upgrades his tanning booth.
Wind power will be a biproduct of the sharting the house & senate will do over any bill regarding gay marriage, minority equality or women's reproductive rights.
