I mentioned Fred Dibnah, the steeplejack, in IOTD a few weeks ago.
Fred was a man of many parts and he restored a 1912 traction engine over a period of twenty-seven years. It was sold, after his death, for £240,000 (about $390,000) Dibnah's engine sold for £240,000 - Includes video. |
