Would you consider Unabomber Kazinski to be left wing/liberal?
Personally, I'm wondering if it might be time for some militant radical liberalism. The hypocrisy and ruthlessness of theistic plutocracy makes it invulnerable to rational criticism. Where words fail, we must resort to sticks and stones.

Depending on how far back you want to go in US history,
there was John Brown and his raid on Harper's Ferry in an attempt to trigger a uprising against slavery. That one didn't work out too well. Then depending on your definitions of liberal, etc. there was the "union movements" such as the Molly McQuires in the coal mines of Pennsylvania, etc. And many of the union strikes against management of various industries in the 19th and 20th centuries turned to violence (by one side or the other) But I would not really consider the union strikes in the same categories as today's liberal politics and social issues. |
