Anyway,

A local band called Desi Demona and the Nouveau Riche, and their entry on Homegrown 2 was called Periodical Bride.

Part of the lyrics were:

She had a lover
Had to leave him
Had to hand it to herself
Now she's all choked up inside

'Cause daddy sent her away to college
For her MRS degree
Now she's become a periodical bride

omg...there are MP3s of all the Homegrown albums. It sounds slowed down though. I don't know, it seemed faster. I love the end part where he's calling the periodical bride to ask her out. Wow...so long ago!
