You may be right, the plant looks short in that link but Google shows them grown taller and the plant is very similar. Besides, he don't know so that's what we'll tell him.

Here's a wiki pic of Virginia Bluebells.
Ima go with that one, cuz the stem & leaves are a dead on match. The Sagebrush Bluebell looks to be a little bit smaller plant, and the blooms aren't a solid match. Thanks for all the help folks.
