I guess I just never applied myself when it came to breathing. It was just something that I did. I didn't much care if I was very good at it. And look at the price I've paid. I always thought "fuck this I'm never going to need this breathing shit" and now it's saving my life.

(Of course you all know we're talking about remembering to breathe in times of stress or anxiety, consciously getting those deep breaths of oxygen. It really does help me. Most of the time. I had a bad day Wednesday but it's going OK again.)

And really, with my advanced scuba training you'd think I would know something about regular breathing. It's like, one of the first things you learn, to breathe steadily. After the initial shock that you can breathe freely under water.
