On IMDB, it looks like Dain (Thorin's cousin), Beorn (the bear guy), Tom (I assume Tom Bombadil), Bolg (leader of the goblins in the Battle of the Five Armies) are cast. You might mean "Net Mender" or "Alfrid" --two inhabitants of Laketown apparently created for the film: the guy who sees Smaug coming, and a "conniving civil servant, " respectively. Could it have been any of these? Or, do you have a link to the trailer? I must see this character.
