I loved that book - Life of Pi! I read it twice. I can't imagine how it will fare as a movie, though. But I hear it's got lots of special effects, and it's in 3D.

If anyone is planning to see the movie and hasn't read the book, try to refrain from Googling "Richard Parker." But even if you do, there's lots more to the story even after his idenity is revealed.

How exciting is the book? I'm looking for a new book to read. I've been reading literary books and am now bored.

The Life of Pi won several awards including the prestigious Booker award. It is one of those rare books that tells a great (and very exciting) story while at the same time making the reader think. Once you reach the part where the author introduces Richard Parker – which happens pretty early on in the story – you won’t be able to put the book down. Highly recommended!
