Comedy songs do tend to be time and location specific.
Not the Nine o' Clock News (TV programme) had a song every week. As did Spitting Image (ditto). I doubt they would be relevant now.

Not only is the basic premise now outdated (this was made during the aprtheid years) but so many of the references would baffle my niece and nephew, let alone furriners. Or were in-jokes to start with.
