First off, I'd like to say that I have relatives in Greece and Henrietta. They rock even if we do argue politics after a coupla six-packs. One cuz is a Montco Sheriff's deputy and one of the others is a NYS cop.

My overall dislike of the state stems from the policies towards guns, drugs, and what I think of as a socialistic leaning.

If you like to take/sell/distribute drugs, NYS is the better state to exercise that. The penalties are much less than in the "religious" state of Pa.. If you like to shoot and carry handguns legally, NYS is not the place you can easily exercise that.

Since I'm not into drugs and I love shooting and carrying legally, NYS is not my favorite place to go.

And of course, there's always the Hilary thing. That really turns me off too. Also the policy of the state is generally driven by New York City, even though the majority of the state (upstate) is rural.

Slang is most definitely a rural slacker, not a city slacker.

Lastly, the Pa State cops are much more polite and professional.
