I'm going through some pictures now. One of my favorite bridges in the world is this one between Orr's Island and Bailey's Island. It's just about the simplest bridge you can make and very sturdy while still allowing tidal flow between the islands. They recently put a new deck on it. There's no mortar holding the blocks together. They just rest on one another like jenga.
