Mine's done and burnt and contains 12 songs. All of which are extremely slow in tempo.

This was an interesting project for the morning.

Some of you will hate it, others will love it to death.

Darn you for having time on your hands and having this already finished!!!!!

I think they should all be burned as audio cds ... the point is to have a SMALL number of songs, thereby increasing the presumed quality of the offerings, rather than a scattershot of everything on your hard drive.

My car stereo does NOT recognize MP3s, so I'd be stuck with the 'puter as a listening medium.

Okay folks...after talking to Jimbo, here's the plan:

I will write all your names down and put them in a hat. I'll shake 'em up, and Rho will pick the first name. Then she'll pick a second name. Whomever is picked second gets the first person's CD. Then she'll pick a third name, and that person will get the second person's CD. And so on. From there, we will create a schedule.

Results to be announced later today.

Anyone who wants to participate after I post the schedule, we'll try to fit you in as best as possible. Absolute cut off date is 6pm EST, March 1st.

Now, hi ho, off to work

Let's do mailing details next week. I think we should see how many others who don't normally read the Cellar on weekends want to get involved.

If you all want a blank... if nothing else you could print this and write your titles on it.

This was hastily done, but hey.

You can probably find your cartridge at TurnTableBelts.com. They've had most of the things I've looked for there. I think they even have some cassette deck stuff.

the list must come first.

list position will dictate who's adress you'll need, and who will need yours. when the list comes out, send your address to the person above you. if you're first, send it to the last name. confirm receipt of the address form your sender, and start mailing!

I'll do a summary tonight in a new thread that we can check back to easily. Or, toad can use his magical powers to do it for me on this thread.....

yeah, the spouse thing complicates it a bit. those of us that have a spouse on the list will have to basically miss a period, while we have our spouse's cd. or we could just team the spouses up as one(2 cds)? thoughts?

I think we should be put in the list as separate randomly placed entries.

I have a tentative tracklist put together, but I still need to finalize it, burn, label, etc. Mine's looking to be a genre-buster, containing some songs that have special meaning to me, some songs by artists who aren't so well-known but deserve some new ears, and some that are just songs I've been enjoying lately. Some are very old, some very new. I have alarmingly broad music tastes.

That's a good idea... the two CDs from a husband-and-wife pair stick together. Since they'll have to reach all the same destinations eventually anyway, this will save on postage, and will prevent anyone whose spouse is participating from having "dead spots" on the rotation. Good thinking, Jimbo!
