Happy Solstice!

Winter solstice is the best holiday of the year. Even as the dark reaches its deepest, it is conquered by the return of the light. I always try to honor the solstice in one way or the other. Last night I had to work at the Bates Motel, so I decided to spiff up the place with luminarias. I had luminarias all along the sidewalks in front of the Bates and along the entrance to the office. I think I set out 40 or so, and we got a lot of compliments on them.
