Faith I understand, a belief in things not seen. I get that. That doesn't help me understand your answer to the question how you know what the Lord God Almighty wants when you say "read the Bible" and "you have to have faith".

When there are contradictions in what I read, I am left with confusion, not understanding. Faith doesn't clarify my confusion. Faith helps me believe in things I can't see. What I can see is what is written, and that's the source of my confusion.

Who are you to call the God of all creation a hypocrite?? Do you ever think that maybe you are just not understanding correctly?? Thats where faith comes in.. If you draw near to God he will draw near to you. If you practice good faith such as praying singing and doing the things the bible tells you to do. Don't you think that then it will start to come together?? ANd not contradict. I use to think that God screwed up when he made man. But when I humbled myself and opened up my heart to take advice, I realized that my Idea of God was a puny spec of sand in a universe of devine cosmos. ANd now I see God as the Greatest thing that can possibley exist.
