The 'rents scare-mongering paper had a headline today, "Britain Faces An Early Big Freeze". This means no snow until at least next year, if at all, because they always ALWAYS get the weather wrong.

Earlier this year they were predicting the hottest summer on record and old people and dogs dying where they stood, pavements melting, standpipes in the street, brimstone in the gutters and something about a giant Twinkie. Well, almost.

They like to vary their headlines. Cancer, Diana, Immigrants, Public Sector Pay (too high, and crippling real workers), Pensions and Mortgages. And of course hysterical weather predictions where the rest of the article is buried on page nine and admits it's just a random guess.

Still, I did walk home singing "Let It Snow". Just in case.
