I have cornmeal, egg, and I certainly have spices.
Do you think I could bake rather than fry?

They sound good.
Now I can justify looking up recipes.

No, I don't think you can bake hush puppies. Frying's kind of the point. You can make delicious cornbread by baking, different taste, different texture. Same corn, etc. Why wouldn't you fry them?
