Thanks!

I forgot to add that Andy's wife, Isa (who's French - they met while he was studying abroad in Strasbourg his junior year), is my best friend and like the sister I never had.
She also has only brothers and no sisters.

I am the youngest of 4 children.

Oldest sister is 9 years older then me, is a French teacher at a private school and close to retirement.

Next sister is 7 years my senior. A rea; wanderer, she has never really found her calling, was dyslexic as a child back when it was pretty much ignored as a discipline issue which.

Brother is 5 years older and is a potter living in Taipei, Taiwan.

Older brother, me, younger sister, younger brother.

I love and respect them all, and it's great when we get together every year or two. But we don't really keep in touch in between. They are all smarter than me, and live interesting lives, but they are also a little weirder than I am, which is saying something.

Older brother: Fairly successful silicon valley guy. Currently working on secret start up that will be interesting to see if it catches on. I'm skeptical, but also a tightwad, so I could be wrong. His previous endeavors have all be successful.
Younger sister: MIT teacher during the year, traveling rock climber during the summer. She and her boyfriend of 15+ years have one of the most solid relationships I've ever seen and they laugh at the idea of getting married.
Younger brother: Rocket scientist, turned high school physics teacher, turned expat stay at home dad with crazy home improvement projects.

Bri, your older sister sounds great! I am like Toad, alas - an only child. When I was little like 4 or 5, I used to run away to find other families to live with. I remember once my mother tracked me down and pulled me out of the back of a station wagon packed with kids from another family. I was ready to go! And I guess the Mom figured one too many was alot better than one too few. I cried all the way home.

She really is! Thanks

When I was little I longed to be an only child. Funny how the grass is always greener, eh?

Awww, what a sweet little story SamI.

When he was 3, my little brother used to wake up way before any of us and get into trouble. He actually got the keys and started the car one morning. He also like to roam. Naked. Once, we got a call from the neighbors asking us to please retrieve him. He had gotten into bed with them at 6am.... Apparently, all he wanted was to pull down the cross they had on the wall over their bed.

One twin brother, one older sister from my Mom's previous marriage, one older sister and an older brother from my Dad's previous marriage.

My twin I am very close to. We only live about 20 minutes apart in the same county in PA. My sister from my Mom's previous marriage I am also close to. She moved to GA a number of years ago when she met her now husband. She graduated from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) as did her husband, but OCD prevents her from working and is on disability.

My brother from my Father's previous I only talk to or see occasionally. Dad and I did go to visit him for a week at his place outside of Boston. He works in finance. My sister lives in NY (Rochester I think) and I have barely said a few words to her in many years. She is very bitter toward my Father. Apparently her mother brainwashed her into seeing that everything was my Father's fault. Her brother can see through that, she cannot. I saw her last at my grandmother's funeral. As cordial as I tried to be, she barely said anything to me. Fuck her.

I am adopted, with one adopted sister, 2 years younger. She and I have always been best friends, even though we live a day's drive away from each other.

I've located my biological family, and have two sisters there. Well one, really.

See, I was the result of an affair my bio mother had while her husband was at sea. At the time, she already had a daughter and a son. She was afraid that I would be treated badly, due to my origins, so she put me up for adoption. A couple of years later, there was an accident and their son was killed. She and her husband believed it was God's punishment for giving me up, so, in an effort to make things right, they adopted another daughter. I've spoken to both on the phone, but the adopted one has no interest in a relationship. The biological sister and I are "friends" on Facebook, although we don't communicate. We simply observe from afar. Bio mother and her husband are both deceased now.
